Mini Mobile Museum

Bring the REACH Mini Mobile Museum to your school science event or classroom, and get free STEM books for students!

The REACH Mini Mobile Museum brings interactive education programs to classrooms and science/STEM events throughout the Tri-Cities region, including standards-based lessons in geology, ecosystem ecology, Hanford history, and more. For the 2021-22 school year, Children’s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia can also provide free STEM children’s books for each student in your elementary classroom or each visiting family at your event. Scholarships are available to cover Mini Mobile Museum program costs for qualifying schools, thanks to generous support from Fluor.

What is the Mini Mobile Museum?

For your event, REACH educators will bring an interactive display that engages visitors in learning about the Mid-Columbia River region. Artifacts and specimens help tell the story of Hanford history, the geologic past of the Pacific Northwest, and the land and river’s many resources. Starting at $90, this is a great option for a school or organization’s family science/STEM night event.

If you’re looking for a classroom presentation, choose from our list of topics for an hour-long interactive program. This option serves one or two classes at a time and can be scheduled any time during the school day.  Program price is $90 per one hour program for one class (up to 30 students), $120 per hour for 2 classes at the same time, or $60 per class for multiple consecutive hours.

Special Thanks to the Children’s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia and Fluor for their support!

The REACH into the Classroom programs are offered to all schools located in Tri-Cities and surrounding schools* for a nominal fee** of $90.00 per one hour program for one class (up to 30 students); $120 per hour for two classes at the same time or $60 per class for multiple consecutive hours.

*Please note that schools outside of the Tri-Cities area of Richland, Kennewick, Pasco and West Richland may be charged additional fees for mileage and travel time.

**Funds are available to help subsidize programs if needed. Please contact us for details prior to registering.
