The Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Section 82.14.390 authorizes the shift of .033% sales and use tax to a public facilities district at no additional cost to the taxpayer. This will be used to acquire, construct, finance and/or operate a regional center located in the city, which will stimulate economic development by:
- Attracting tourism
- Creating jobs
- Facilitating commercial business
- Generating additional sales tax and lodging tax revenues
- Providing a facility for community events
Meetings
Regular meetings of the Richland Public Facilities District Board are held the Third Thursday of the Month at 5:30PM at the REACH, located at 1943 Columbia Park Trail, Richland, WA 99352.
