Virtual field trips include a live tour of a portion of exhibits (20 minutes) and an interactive investigation of artifacts or other objects (20 minutes). Students may need supplies for drawing or writing during the program. Plan on 40 minutes total.
We may also schedule a tech check prior to the program to test the platform and equipment.
Plan to have at least one adult leader in the teleconference to help the REACH Educator throughout the program.
If your group is together in one space, you’ll need a computer with an internet connection, speakers, microphone, and a screen large enough for everyone to see. If students are joining from their own devices, they will need an internet connection and speakers. Microphone and webcam are ideal to make the program interactive, but not required.
REACH Educators will join your classroom teleconference, or provide a unique, private teleconference (Zoom meeting) for your group to join. You are responsible for sharing that link with your group prior to the program.
Virtual field trips are $100 per 40-minute program, the limit of one class (30 students maximum.) Scholarships are available for qualifying schools and organizations; please contact the Education Manager at paulines@visitthereach.us for more information.
