Big Medicine: York Outdoors – Documentary Screenings

📅 Saturday, October 11, 2025 | 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM
📍 REACH Museum

Join us for two special screenings of Big Medicine: York Outdoors, a 30-minute documentary produced by the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail in partnership with NEW Multimedia.

Honoring the legacy of York—an enslaved man and member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition—the film follows eight adventurers on a four-day river expedition through the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument in Montana. This rugged and breathtaking landscape was once traversed by the historic Corps of Discovery (1803–1806).

While retracing their route, Big Medicine: York Outdoors shines a light on York’s significant yet often overlooked contributions and makes meaningful connections between his story and the importance of ensuring recreation access for all.
