About the Event
The REACH Museum invites the community to a free screening of Inhabitants, an award-winning feature documentary exploring Indigenous land stewardship across North America.
The film follows five Native American Tribes across deserts, coastlines, forests, mountains, and prairies as they restore traditional land management practices that sustained their communities for millennia. While colonization disrupted these relationships, Indigenous communities today are revitalizing time-tested approaches rooted in balance, care, and long-term sustainability.
As climate challenges continue to intensify, Inhabitants highlights why these ancestral practices are increasingly relevant in a rapidly changing world.
Post-Film Panel & Q&A
Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for a moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A with local tribal land management professionals.
Panelists will share perspectives on:
-
Indigenous approaches to land stewardship today
-
Restoration practices rooted in traditional knowledge
-
Why these practices matter for the future of our region
This conversation is designed to be educational, respectful, and accessible to all audiences.
