Color the REACH: Celebrate 25 Years of the Monument

A Community Coloring Contest Honoring the Hanford Reach National Monument

The Hanford Reach National Monument turns 25 — and we’re celebrating with color! Grab your crayons, markers, or pencils and bring the Mid-Columbia to life through your creativity.

This all-ages coloring contest is open now, and it’s your chance to celebrate our local landscape, wildlife, and heritage.

Prizes will be awarded in each age group — stay tuned for details!

The coloring page is based on a photograph by Joel Rogers that helped promote the beauty and value of the Hanford Reach decades ago. The view remains the same today because it is protected — a powerful reminder that art can inspire action and impact history. You can find the original photo on display in Gallery 1 as part of the "Saving the Reach" exhibit.
