Tri-cities Earth Day 2025 Returns To The Reach

RICHLAND, Wash. — April 10, 2025 — The REACH Museum, in partnership with Sustainable Tri-Cities and Citizens’ Climate Education, invites the public to celebrate Tri-Cities Earth Day 2025 – Healthy Planet, Happy People, on Saturday, April 19 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the REACH Museum.

Now in its third year with the Healthy Planet, Happy People theme, this free, family-friendly event brings together more than 40 local organizations to highlight the connection between environmental stewardship and community well-being.

Event admission is free for everyone thanks to generous support from Battelle.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

Electric Vehicle Show hosted by the Mid-Columbia Electric Vehicle Association

Climb-through experience with FIN the Migrating Salmon, courtesy of Benton Conservation District

Hands-on sustainable art activities led by ABCDino Academy and SageFen Maker Fest

Poetry workshop for all ages with A Spoken Space

Plant-based cooking demos, native plant education, and wellness resources

Earth Day Treasure Hunt throughout museum exhibits (with prizes donated by REI)

Live music performances by David Adams and Maddysen Hope

Train rides from the parking area to the museum on the J&S Dreamland Express

Food vendors including Lucky Bao, Kona Ice, and Kindred Spirits

Cargo-Bike Club showcasing pedal-powered transportation solutions and community rides

“This event is a true community effort,” said Pauline Schafer, REACH Museum Education Manager. “We’re proud to bring together educators, advocates, artists, and families to explore how we can all contribute to a healthier planet—and in doing so, create healthier, happier communities.”
