Exhibited at the REACH Museum – November 2, 2024 to January 25, 2025

This exhibit featured fine art prints created by Native American artists affiliated with the Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, a nonprofit organization located on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in eastern Oregon.

Founded in 1992 by artists James Lavadour (Walla Walla) and Phillip Cash Cash (Cayuse and Nez Perce), Crow’s Shadow provides a space where Indigenous artists can explore contemporary printmaking while honoring traditional roots. The institute supports artistic development through workshops, residencies, and access to a world-class print studio that specializes in lithography.

Works on display included Blazing Sun and Protector Salmon Spirit by Ramon Murillo, along with other pieces that reflected cultural identity, storytelling, and the ongoing evolution of Indigenous art.

Artists featured in the exhibit included:
Corwin Clairmont, Ka’ila Farrell-Smith, Ric Gendron, Ramon Murillo, Jeremy Red Star Wolf, and Fox Spears.

This exhibit offered visitors a chance to experience the creativity, resilience, and vision of Native artists from across the region.
